Aniseed

Cloves

Synonyms: Syzygium aromaticum, lilac, Dingzi, Jishexiang

Nature: pungent, mild, non-toxic.

Tropism: 4 channels, lungs, spleen, stomach, kidney.

Efficacy: aromatic, stomachic, exciting, strengthen Yang, induce the gas from the body, and disperse the coldness, analgesic antispasmodic, antiemetic.

Indications: hiccup, vomit, cholera, diarrhea, abdominal pain, stomach pain, bad breath, chronic indigestion, flatulence, cold uterus, hernia pain.

Fennel

Medicinal Description: pungent, dispersing, warm, well warm the lower and middle Jiao, particularly good for relaxing liver, dispelling cold and releasing pain, a must for the cold and hernia treating medicine.

Efficacy:

Licorice

Nature: Sweet, clam Qi in crude one, warm in roasted one, non-toxic.

Functions: calm Qi with crude licorice, nourish the spleen and stomach, and clear away the heat. Cinnamon

Nature: Sweet and pungent, hot-natured, with thick Qi, pure Yang.

Tropism: into the blood system of liver and kidney (Calm liver and nourish kidney).
